Travel Log #4: MELAKA TRIP

Since I have a few more days left until I'm going back to Brunei, so I thought of visiting outside KL for a bit. Been wanting to go to Melaka since forever but never really got the chance to. This time, Irfan made my dream came true. Did some research on where to go, what to do and where to eat. The journey from Bandar Utama took around 1h 50+min to 2h (if there is no traffic jam). We departed around 1pm and reached Melaka around 3.30pm. Quite late I shall say, for a day trip that is. 

Anyways, do check this places out if you happen to visit Melaka anytime soon :)

I didn't go into the museum though cause I wanted to see the center of Melaka first. hehe

It was so amazing to just stand and watch everything there. This place is crowded with endless humans! Good place to take great photos. You can rent a 'beca' (rickshaw) for around RM40 to RM50 I guess? The person will bring you around the city of Melaka.

St. Paul's Church

A very old building located at the top of St. Paul's Hill. You have to climb all the way up there. Not so tiring but if you do, bring along some water with you to stay hydrated.

Later that evening, we kinda starved and we went to get these fresh watermelon juices across the road. 2 for RM10, quite okay lah right? We also got ourselves some cendol! Perfect on a hot sunny day :D

 After that, we just walked around Melaka and find some place to have our dinner. Was actually looking for a Baba Nyonya's place but couldn't find it.

And this is our dinner that night! Kupang masak asam pedas. Mussels for RM12 and I was really surprised to have it that cheap! lol

Tomyam soup noodle, Asam Pedas Mussels, Boiled Cockle and and Omelette. All for RM35 which is equivalent to BND12 only?! Can you believe it?! CHEAP!

After dinner and roaming around the shopping mall, we found this night market. Bought some fried squid and banana fritters with cheese and chocolate. hehe and went back to our hotel. Yes we have to stay in a hotel cause it was really late for us to drive back to Bandar Utama.
