Travel Log #4 Part 2 : MELAKA TRIP (Cont)

Promised to post up the 2nd part today which won't be such a long post anyway ( Nope, it is a long post)

June 4th, 2016

The 2nd day in Melaka we decided to find this famous place in Melaka where people take great photos on it. The famous "Sand dunes" in Melaka. Googled and found it was in Pantai Klebang, Melaka. Around 20 minutes away from our hotel which is alright.

The morning view is sooo beautiful!

Overlooking that bridge we passed by. Beautiful view of the ocean :)

This whole Klebang place is so wonderful! Clear blue sky, and the air is so clean. Love it here!

Sand Dunes in Klebang

That is not the Sand Dunes yet! haha those are just piles of sand being mark as a barrier! It was a tough place to go, you'd need a 4wd car to go there. However, you can never go to the sand dunes by car because you need to walk! From my research you need to walk for about 15-20 minutes. (Its like walking in a Sahara Desert lol)

So it's waaaayyy at the back there! LOL we're thinking twice to walk over. The place was once opened for public however some irresponsible people just ruined the privileges to go there freely. They caused trouble and then the place was closed and you can only walk there if you still want to go there and take good photos. TIPS: Use proper attire especially shoes and also bring lots of water to not cause dehydration.

Pantai Klebang, Melaka

We ended up going to the Pantai Klebang instead. The scenery was sooooo beautiful. Amazing I can witness such pretty place. Masya Allah! The beach is so clean. You hardly can see clean beaches nowadays. hehe

Part time model on duty. haha You probably can ignore the model and focus on the beautiful beach behind. hehe SO PRETTY!

The sun was pretty way up the time we got to the beach so we didn't really want to get so tan :p thus we headed back to our hotel and check out. Oh! Next time you want to visit Klebang, do try their famous coconut shake. We didn't get to try cause we came way early! too bad..

As for lunch, again.. I was looking for Baba Nyonya's place to dine in. We drove around Jonker Street again, googled and wazed everything but to no avail. The halal one that is. I don't think our google map or waze is working properly! ugh For those who's looking for non-halal, there are quite a number of places in Jonker Street you can find.

Not to waste any time, I changed my mind to try the famous Chicken Rice Ball in Melaka. Found a halal one called Ee Ji Ban.

You can see that huge Ee Ji Ban sign outside the restaurant. 100% Halal, no worries! So crowded already.

Even inside! Lucky we got ourselves a table. Fuh~ That's the owner there in white shirt I believe along with the son. Family business I see.

Will you just look at that chicken?! We ordered half chicken, half roasted and half steamed. Half chicken cost around RM24+ if I'm not mistaken.

These are the famous chicken rice ball. Instead of the regular chicken rice, they make it into a ball. We didn't know how many to order so we ordered just 8. HAHA But later have to order another 10. lol The chicken rice ball cost RM0.30 per ball.

We definitely enjoy eating this chicken rice ball, the rice was a bit too soft for my liking but the rich taste of the chicken rice tops it all. Certainly, it is a new and fun way of having a chicken rice dish.

IF you're looking for a halal chicken rice ball, do visit this place.

Later that afternoon, we stopped by the Freeport A'famosa Outlet located at Alor Gajah (just on the way back to KL) before going back to Bandar Utama.

This outlet holds for about 60 fashion, sports and accessory brands in a huge 180 000 sq ft land. They have known brands like: Nike, Cotton On, Sacoor, Puma, Carlo Rino, Sembonia and many more. From what I read, here at the outlet.. they do offer up to 40% to 70% discounts. Do note that some items are off season if you don't mind. Still, you save a lot.

The buildings are pretty and very dutch feeling. haha I don't know how to describe that but you get what I mean. It makes you feel like you're in Amsterdam but only with super hot weather. LOL
