Short getaway before exam - Part Un
Greetings readers! The short getaway was actually end of last month but as I was having exam during that period thus this late post. Alhamdulillah I'm finally done with my very first semester. It was a struggle I must say but glad that I can make it through. So the short getaway was a long time plan way before I entered UBD so it was inevitable hence I really need to go. A short 4 days getaway before exam was indeed crazy, no revision at all! Let's just hope I score a pass for my exam papers. *cringed face* hehe
I actually am going to review about the foods I've tried during my short stay in KL. Tried this new place in Mid Valley called 'New York Steak Shack' and seriously it was a cool place to dine in however I personally think that the place is rather small. It gets really crowded when there's alot of people dining in which makes it a little uncomfortable. Despite that, the food was the BOMB I promise you.
That's basically the interior of the place. The menu is all about steaks, burgers and shakes as it says it all on the counter and in the menu. Wanted to try the burger cause it looks really good but hey! You're in a restaurant where it says steak specialties and of course you gotta try the steak first. Honestly, its my first steak in my whole entire life. hahaha I know. Don't laugh okay, not all can afford to eat steak what? Plus the steak in Brunei especially in Charcoal BBQ & Grill is soooo expensive. No no, TOO expensive to be exact. hehe
My MIL tried the Fulton's fish and fries that were being served with coleslaw and mayonnaise. The batter for the fish was brilliant and absolutely spot on! The crunch from the batter and the perfectly cooked fish were the best combination and by far the best fish and chips I've ever tasted as to compared with Fish & Co's. - RM18.97
As for my SIL, she tried the Ribeye Steak served with caramelized onion under the steak, along with mixed vegetables and fries as the sides. The beef were amazing and tender! I don't need no further description and explanation about this particular meal. Have it a go! - RM27.45
And for me, I tried the Lamb chop! chose the pumpkin rice and fries as the sides. Didn't know the lamb chop is going to be served with caramelized onion that's why I chose the caramelized onion as the sauce. The lamb chop were the bomb! the marination was so good! I wonder what did they put in there to marinate this lamb chop! LOL. Seriously, who's a big fan of lamb chop.. this is what you should order. - RM33.81
This is the Calamari Ring where the batter for the calamari were super delicious! Cruncy and flaky and the calamari was sooooo tender! Not over cook at all. Loving it. double thumbs up!
I didn't get a shot of the carbonara pasta but it was good too! and that cost RM 20.03.
The total food that we ate cost around RM150+ (and that's like what? $56 Brunei Dollar? CHEAP RIGHT?!) which for me I think it's definitely worth every dollar, every cent of it! Seriously recommending this place to those who's going to KL, wanted to find some good place to eat or even you malaysian who have not try this! Give it a try. I'm giving this place 5 stars and double thumbs up. :)
