First Try

Hello readers! (Thats if anyone reading :p)

On the last night of 2013, I didn't really get to spend much time with Irfan but I'm glad he at least dropped by my place to countdown with me. I gotta say my new year celebration this year is by far the most "snore bores" just because my sisters and brothers weren't home. Anyways, me and Irfan decided to have new year's dinner together. Having no place in mind, we both kinda wandered around searching for a perfect place to dine in. Finally we both agreed to try the Paddington House of Pancakes! My mind was flooded with pictures of pancakes and how pancake is served with everything? Seriously pancake burgers pancake nachos? hmm...

The menu of Padding House of Pancakes
I kinda like the design of the menu! Flipping through the menu, I cannot imagine eating pancakes with other stuff but maple / honey syrup! hmm..

What I love about the Paddington House of Pancakes is the interior of the restaurant itself, very english? Is that even the correct word to describe? From the wooden flooring to the quilted long sofa (sofa?? I think thats what u call it?) to the decor on the walls. So cute and interesting! After flipping the menu for mmm.. quite long haha since it's dinner so why not eat a heavy meal right? So I ordered something called "Wellington Burger" -ish. Can't recall what my food was called. It was alright because I thought the burger will be chicken patty instead of grilled chicken being stuffed in between the pancake as the bun! but hey its my 1st time trying out there so its alright, I'll definitely find something nicer to be ordered / eaten next time!
Chalkboard-like wall! Love it!

My food, "Wellington Burger" (I think)

So here's the food that I ordered, there's hashbrown in the burger, ALOT of tomatoes (too much actually), pineapple slice with BBQ sauce all over. My rating for this dish ..... 6 / 10. Despite not enjoying the meal as a burger, I pretty much like the pancake. The pancake surely taste good and I shall come back for the dessert next time!

Excuse my pale face! hehe Irfan ordered some grilled fish if I'm not mistaken with some french crepes underneath the fish. We both were rather full afterwards hence NO dessert for the both of us. Oh! and not to forget, I looooveeee the toilet too! I know.. I know.. shouldn't be reviewing the toilet. hahaha but you know, toilet plays a role in a restaurant too okay!

About today...went out for lunch though I didn't plan to eat out in the 1st place. Me and my colleague decided to just find a nearby restaurant as we were too lazy to go for something that's far from our office. Thus we went to Wira Rimba just opposite to Huaho Mulaut. I've been listening about Wira Rimba long time ago but never got the chance to really go there and try the foods. Well of course, its an Indonesian Restaurant owned by an Indonesian married to a Bruneian. First thing first, I noticed the very Indonesian interior with the stone design concept inside the restaurant (One thing about me, I love restaurant with good interior). As per usual, what else are you going to order if you go to an Indon restaurant? Of course the Ayam Penyet! (I don't know about you but I would! BIG FAN)

Love the ceiling.

Ayam Penyet!

Nasi Goreng Cornbeef

As you can see, my Ayam Penyet looks good! Love the sambal, there's some sweetness & spicy-ness in it. The chicken was too dry for me on the outer part yet kinda juicy on the inside. It was alright for me and I'm giving it a 7 / 10. My colleague on the other hand, decided to order Nasi Goreng Cornbeef. There goes our diet *Thumbs down* haha Why oh why can't we refrain ourselves from eating these kinda foods? so anyways, I had a taste of the fried rice and oh my it was tasty! Totally loved it and im giving it an 8 / 10! Give it a try the next time you go Wira Rimba :)

A better and healthier choice of food for me next time, I hope! Until then readers!

xo,
W.
