High Tea @ Ximply Chriz

Since it was a public holiday last Monday (in regards to Hari Raya Aidiladha), thought of using the day off to catch up with my sister from another momma. Also, plan to try out new cafes in town. Told Fifah about the high frequency incident so we skip that place (for now). A few crossed our minds and we did went to a few cafes too! hahaha

At first, we decided to try out this cafe named Piccolo Cafe which is located in Bandar. Just next to Jing Chew and opposite of waterfront. However, to our disappointment... the cafe was closed due to public holiday. Boo! Suggestion: Don't close during public holiday! People love to hangout during public holiday and this time, its your lost! :D 

Thus we then thought of going to Belluno Cafe (Kiarong, same row with Fleur De Lys) to give it a shot! Nevertheless, we had been turned down as the place was pretty packed with humans and there's no seats left for us :( So sad right?!

We were so disappointed that we almost go to Fleur De Lys to have our catch up session but then luckily I thought of this place called 'Ximply Chriz' as I recalled about their delicious desserts! and off we go to Ximply Chriz in Kiulap. What a cafe hunt? Tell me about it :))

Got us both some seats and ready to order! I've been here once only and tried the Heavenly chocolate dessert and it was the bomb. Did try some other desserts too such as their fruit tart, different flavours of cheesecakes. All of them were super delish! Consequently this time, I decided to order something else for a change :) Scanning through the HUGE menu and saw a few that caught my attention.

Ordered the Red Velvet cake, Sweet Potato Chips with Garlic Aioli dip and also the Heavenly Chocolate (recommended Fifah to try) Additionally, Belgian Hot Chocolate for my drink! (Always mistaken Belgian with Belgium haha) :D After all, its a High Tea so... we just want to have dessert.

Here is the not-so-red-velvet cake. The presentation was good minus the color of a red velvet that I was looking for. haha Red velvet suppose to have this brick red color, the texture should be moist, fluffy and should not be dense. As you can see, this red velvet here has this more to brown color than red so I'm guessing less red coloring? or more cocoa in it? However, the taste is delicious though. Cutting through the cake, the texture is sorta moist but a little bit dense. The frosting on the other hand was great! A little sweet for me but it was a great cake :D            Red Velvet - B$5.50

And this is the Heavenly Chocolate that I have been talking about! Look at the chocolate on top, the middle layer is some chocolate crunch which I believed was the cornflakes coated with chocolate? The bottom layer is the soft cake texture. This particular dessert is one of my favorite from Ximply Chriz and you guys should give this a try! :D          Heavenly Chocolate - B$4.50

Belgian Hot Chocolate is what this drink was called. The name itself caught my attention and as I recall, anything related to Belgian is surely tasty! Thus I decided to try this drink (yes a big fan of chocolate drink) and it tasted CHOCOLATEY and I love it! Not too much milk, not too sweet and rich in Belgian Chocolate taste. There's a few more chocolate drink I have yet to try from their menu. :)

Scrolling through my instagram feed the week before, I came across this post about "Sweet Potato Chips" from Ximply Chriz and read quite a few good reviews about it. In respect to that, we ordered the Sweet Potato chips with Garlic Aoili dip. Never thought it would blow my mind away! Highly addictive and we both were super in love with the Garlic Aoili dip! Lovely lovely high tea with Fifah indeed. Catching up over delicious sweet treats from Ximply Chriz simply the kinda high tea you're looking for! Thank you love for catching up with me *kisses* and I really hope to see you and the rest soon. In sha Allah. :) (P/s: Lets try the pasta next time! haha Pasta org atu mcm nyaman ah? :p)

Ambience: 8/10

Verdict: They have variety of desserts to choose from starting with tarts, cheesecakes and many more. There are plenty of dishes too but mostly the western ones. I will come back to try the rest! :)

Could not find their exact location but it is located at Kiulap Regent Square, same row with Excapade Sushi. It's not that hard to find ;)
