The waiting game
Currently waiting for my turn to be called for interview from the Scholarship section for the Student Loan provided by the HM last month.
It's heartbreaking knowing that you've been given a facility that can ACTUALLY help the citizens or youth of Brunei to pursue their studies further whether locally or abroad but in the end you have to meet certain requirements not to mention almost like the Brunei Scholarship's requirement, also its only for the people who would like to pursue Undergraduate Courses. How unfair is that?
I've been wanting to study abroad for all my life however I'm not that fortunate to even send myself to study abroad, not all of us are. So to the kids out there who's fortunate enough to taste the outside world, be thankful. Honestly, I didn't really meet the requirement of the Student Loan facility nevertheless I still try in applying. Manatau rezeki kan? You never know. :)
Really hoping for the MOE to at least lower down the requirement for this Student Loan as we student will be the one paying at the end of the day to them. Why too scared to invest into the future developer of Brunei? It saddens me that the officer actually said that they want to produce a qualitative young Bruneians in order to achieve the goals of Brunei by the year 2035 but without even giving any chances to us to prove ourself that we can actually succeed with flying colors!
Give us the opportunity to prove ourselves, to show what we can do in order to bring Brunei up internationally / globally. Also, do broaden the levels from Undergraduate to Postgraduate to PHD. Hope they really take this into consideration as this has been raised up a few times during the talks.
Tawakal to Allah, I have done my part so I'm just leaving the rest of it to Allah.
xo,
W.
